Husband mental health
Hi I recently got married to a man I'd do anything for. Xmas my daughter got upset and walked out. I calmed her down and we went back in the flats. She went into the garden and I went into the flat. My husband started having ago at me saying he spent all day cooking Xmas Dinner trying to make it nice for us. Which it was. But because I'd just had my daughter having a
Go at me that hurt my feelings, i couldn’t stay and let him have a go at me too. So I went out in the garden to my daughter. Who said something that upset me more. My husband came to the back door demanding his keys. (We needed the keys to back in from the garage so I refused. ) After we came back in From the garden he demand the key cos he needed to get out the flat for a break. So I asked why has he made this about him. He never answered the question. And then said if you don't give me the keys I'll phone the police and get you arrested. I got scared as I suffer with ptsd. Grabbed his phone which he wares on a lanyard around his neck. As I lifted it up I accidentally lose control of my arm due to a disability and hit his head and it bleed. I felt so bad I hurt him all night. I asked to talk to him in the morning and he shouted at me "I'm not interested get out". This caused me to self harm and I ended up in hospital. He spoke to me ok on the phone while I was I'm hospital but as soon as was home. He told me he'd been to have his head checked out and that I could of killed him. And I felt so guilty I reported myself to the police. I never meant to hurt him so being told I nearly killed him has messed my head up. I love him so much his my world. Now his deleted me off *** and won't talk to me. But all mine and my daughters stuffs at his. I want to make this right. I miss him so much and we've only been married 4 months.
@ria84 Welcome to 7Cups, Ria. I am Obs and glad to have you here with us. This sounds like a very difficult situation that has caused a lot of hurt for you. The love and care you have for each other makes this all the more painful. You have been through so much already, and, understandably, emotions are running high. I hope that with time and compassion, understanding can replace hurt. But for now, taking care of your well-being is so important.
How are you feeling in yourself through all of this? Also, you can join us in the group chats to share your experiences and get support. We are all here with you to listen to and support you.
