Husband's midlife crisis
My husband that I have been in love with for 33 yrs is a midlife crisis. It has destroyed everything in our lives and our family. I'm struggling so badly every day to keep moving forward. I feel like I'm stuck in the moving "groundhog day" repeating every day over and over trying to get a different out come. I'm so devastated, lost and broken. I've tred so many things to bring myself up and out of it but feel like I'm just failing at everything.

Hello and welcome to 7 Cups!
What do you mean by "destroyed everything"?
We are broke, no credit left, he pushed all our family and friends away. He doesn't want any to do anything around home anymore and is hardly here. He's destroying our marriage.

So far it sounds as your household was in serious financial troubles, you had some kind of conflict or disagreement with your relatives and friends, and your husband was actively refusing or passively ignoring taking his part in your daily chores. But this picture seems incomplete...
Has your husband been ever diagnosed with any kind of depression? Is he working professionally or staying at home?
Sorry for asking straight, but are there any issues with your partner's addictions (like alcohol or hazard games)?
How is the relationship between you and him? Even if broke and having not much contact with family or friends, some couples are still so in love that they can survive together many difficult situations...
Do you have kids? Who looks after them?
Would you like to tell us about your attempts to improve the situation? Why do you think they failed? I think it is good you had determination and courage to try 👍
Please, don't take me wrong: your feelings are valid. However, your description is missing some details which can be very important.

Do you know what happened... did he spend money you had?
What did he spend to affect your credit? No I am not that nosy.......... just i went through something where partner did an incredibly stupid thing and got us in debt ... he avoided home like the plague because he did not want what he did to come to light. I thought he was out with people when he was hiding a bigger secret with his health ... put large medical bills on credit etc.... used most of his income to pay that debt while i struggled to cover house bills.
it sucked we had a mess for a while to work thru financial wise but we made it through and IF he would have just spoken up earlier it would have been better....People often push friends family away because they do not want them to figure out what the person is doing and embarrass themselves over stupid choices.
Whatever he is going thru you should be a team and be able to deal with whatever is happening.... i wish we would have talked sooner and he felt he could share... it was hard to not judge and just find a solution but that is what i did.
