I failed

I tried so hard to not get down and depressed. Tried so hard not to spiral. But yet again I nearly attempted, nearly went through with ending everything. Ended up after hours of crying and hours of hurting. Reaching out to 988. With their help I packed a bag and called for help. Now I am back out not much really resolved. Though I will have access to my prescriptions this time as they offer some assistance, may have access to therapy and care. Yet financial mess of life not resolved. Tomorrow could be homeless, and in another 2 days no phone service either. I want to cry.

I understand that the situation may feel very harsh and suffocating. There are moments when, no matter how much you want to keep going, everything becomes so heavy and that sense of well-being feels so far away.

The feeling can become so overwhelming that the idea of not being here anymore crosses your mind… But you know, despite how difficult things are right now, you’re still moving forward, still fighting to be okay and that is a reflection of your strength and resilience.

It’s okay to ask for help, especially now when you need it most. It’s also okay to cry and release everything you’re carrying inside. Let it out cry, and allow all that pain to come out from within you. And once you do, even if just a little, you may feel some peace in your heart. Close your eyes for a moment, notice your breathing, feel the warmth of your body touch it, hug yourself, and recognize that despite everything, you are still here. You are alive. And as long as you are here, there will always be an opportunity to make things better, and above all, to feel okay again.

The situation is difficult right now, but that doesn’t mean it will always be this way. Trust in yourself and in your ability to get through this. What you’re going through now, as painful as it is, may one day become something you feel proud of for having overcome.

Try to take things one step at a time this will help you avoid feeling overwhelmed. I know you can do it.
