I hate my life
The title should pretty much sum it up. My life is terrible.
Currently I am broke, unemployed and having to share a house with a friend because I can't afford to live on my own. I've been unemployed for the better part of the last 3 1/2 years. There have been short periods of time where I was employed (3-5 months), but various problems have happened and I either end up leaving or let go.
I'm highly educated, highly motivated and able to teach people. My limitations are that I live outside the US and I can not speak the local language well. I look for work every day and apply for the jobs that I can do.
For the past few months, I have been seeing a counselor through a program offered by the local government. The sessions I have had are free, but limited. My last session is next Monday. I've talked to my counselor about all of these issues.
I'm to the point that I want to ask her to hospitalize me because I can no longer deal with all of the issues I have.
Sometimes I just cry and wonder if things will ever get better. I feel discouraged and lonely.
I have only a few friends and practically no family to turn to.
I just hate my life.
@enthusiasticTangerine147 It sounds like you’re carrying an incredible amount right now — unemployment, financial stress, feeling isolated, and trying so hard to keep going. I can only imagine how exhausting, lonely and overwhelming that must feel. The fact that you’re still reaching out and talking to your counselor shows how strong you are, even though you’re hurting.
If you’re thinking about hospitalization or hurting yourself, please consider reaching out to emergency services or a crisis line. You deserve help and safety while you go through this.
