Hello I wanted to change my life for the better. In the last months I did exactly that. I got over my ed , can handle my depression , started with gym and got little results of it. I'm always trying so bad to create a healthy day routine. But then I got that insane pain. It's a chestpain and backpain and it's the worst. I can't sleep because of that anymore and i can't live normally with that pain. (I think it's because of my scoliosis) . It's not every single day there but I got phases where that pain lasts for 1 week or more. And it destroys every success I made, because in that time I need to rest. And that rest triggers my depression and I got so much pressure because I can't do gym anymore. ( I need the gym because I'm feeling so so so much uncomfortable in my skin . I also can deal with stuff like break up , and as I said depression and ed , a lot easier. ) I just want to live painfree. I don't know what to anymore. I feel very frustrated Please help .

I am so sorry that things are so frustrating right now.

It is great that the gym was helping, but it sounds like the physical pain makes that not the best option right now. But the gym was never the only option to begin with.

What would happen if you started walking instead of going to the gym? I know for me that it is a combination of the exercise and getting outside that really helps my depression. I have scoliosis as well and walking doesn't cause me pain.

Try some different things to help with depression because there is never just one way to combat it.

It would also be good to talk to a doctor about the physical pain. They will have suggestions on how to combat it.

You are going to find a solution. @communicativeApple9560

Hello @bestVase7265

Thank you so much for replying! To your question "what would happen if i start walking except gym" : gym helped me especially because I was able to do something that changes the way I look and walking sadly doesn't do that : ( . But I see your point and there are not many options left.... I'll def take your advice and start walking! so thank you so much and I wish you the best because of your scoliosis : )

Remind yourself that walking also adds things that the gym doesn't. Nature (seeing clouds, birds, trees, listening to water in any form) is a known anti-depressant. If you do it really regularly, it might eventually become even better than the gym.

You aren't limiting options. You are experimenting. If walking doesn't work, try swimming which is even more low impact.

You have got this. We are here to cheer you on. @communicativeApple9560

I've planned seeing a doctor and ask the doctor if it's possible for me to work out and what to do because of that pain.till then I'll rest. Still pretty frustrated and scared what the doctor will say. I was walking outside and it kinda helped (at least for a little bit) . Thank you for asking that's kind : )
