It seems hard to find support these days
I needed to vent, with the holidays and my kids birthday approaching I have to prioritize so my therapy session is delayed. With the the New Year here I just woke up with this irritability and just wanting to no longer hold back and just accepting that life as a loner is probably what I'll be.
I don't like that people I try to celebrate and care for didn't do me the same, I don't like that they showed love to other people and it wasn't shown for me. I don't feel celebrated the same I try to be nothing but there for ppl.
I don't have any friends I've tried putting myself out there and it all leads to dead ends, same with dating I been single a while and the slightest sense of BS I'm falling back.
I'm just done with people, like frfr. Family too and it's not great new year means new beginnings but holding back I can't no longer do i want to say what I feel. Where I'm from its like if you don't have certain motion or clout no one notices you, ppl literally will uplift ppl solely off popularity and its crazy. I wish everyone a great year tho.
@greenTangerine8951 It's awful to hear that you feel so alone and unloved, despite putting in the effort. You'd think you'd get an equal amount of love in return, but...well, sometimes it doesn't work like that because people can get too caught up in themselves. You put in the effort- give yourself credit where credit is due. You're a good caring person. You're not completely alone, I hear you right here. And if you were truly accepting being a loner, you wouldn't have made the effort to reach out and post here. Being lonely hurts. Try not to shut yourself away. Maybe you could try doing activities with your kid? You said you've tried to reach out but it hasn't worked before- maybe you just need to do something completely new. Meetup groups, give people at your workplace a second chance, volunteer, events put on by the library or community, sports groups, classes. Talk to people even if its just to talk. Other than that, make sure you take care of yourself. Give yourself the love you've been trying to give to other people. You deserve it.
