It’s not getting better

I’ve been battling depression and chronic loneliness for over a year, I feel like this storm will never pass. One year later and I’m still having severe panic attacks during school as I am alone and have no one to talk and usually insulted. I’m still crying myself to sleep knowing I have no one to hangout with and no one to go for comfort. I have one friend who’s very popular (she goes to a different school) so she doesn’t really know much about what I’m going through and I’m much too ashamed to tell her about my case. I’m anxious and afraid every summer day that I’ll have to go back to school I’m going to sophomore year so I still have 3 whole years to undergo. I don’t think it’s ever going to get better, it’ll never pass.

@Taintedrose112 I'm really sorry to hear that you've been going through such a difficult time with depression and chronic loneliness. It's understandable that you feel like this storm will never pass, but I want to reassure you that there is hope for improvement and support available to you. It's important to reach out to someone you trust, such as a family member, teacher, counsellor, or mental health professional, who can offer you understanding, guidance, and resources to help you navigate these challenges. Remember that you are not alone, and there are people who care about your well-being and want to help you through this.

Hi Taintedrose11

I am sorry that you are suffering.

Know that you are not alone.

I am 43 years old, but I remember the pain of depression and anxiety in high school vividly.

It was emotionally crushing.

I used to put my head down on my desk and pretend I was sleeping so I didn't have to interact with the other kids.

I don't know if this is helpful or not, but I always found the unpopular kids to be kinder and more accepting.

And what does popular mean anyway? That you have a lot of friends? I was friends with popular kids for a while in school and we always treated each other like garbage. I have found that it is better to have a few good friends, than a lot of bad ones.

I would much rather be unique than popular anyway.

Just a thought.

Freshman year is always the hardest anyway. Hang in there. Everything will be okay.

In the meantime you don't have to see those jerks for another two months. Enjoy your summer.

Find things to do that make You happy. Be proud of yourself. You are a wonderful person! You are perfect, just the way you are. No words or people can take that away from you.

I hope this was helpful and I hope you feel better soon!
