Just need to vent

I’ve been dealing with what I would describe as just a constant constant low mood for over 4 years now and I am only 16. I’m not the worst I’ve ever been right now but I think that’s partially because I’ve pulled back on basically everything I need to and enjoy doing including school. I used to be a straight A student and now have C’s and D’s. I’ve always been able to fine something to do even through it to get myself better, but I just can’t anymore. I win tons of competitions but it’s not enough and the ones I don’t win just have me feeling like a failure. But it’s not even that that bothers me, it’s that no matter what I do, walks, talking, journaling, nothing helps for more than an hour or two. I genuinely can’t do anything for myself and I never don’t have some sort of heavy feeling looming over me, even when I am truly happier than normal. I just feel both emotions separately if that makes sense. I can’t even call it depression because I am not diagnosed with anything. I know it wouldn’t change anything but I just feel like a private diagnoses would help me at least not feel so crazy and dramatic and alone.

@PaigeG08

You are definitely not crazy.

Or dramatic.

And here at cups, you don't need to be alone.

It can be hard to get to the root cause of what's having and why we feel a certain way.

Winning competitions would provide a temporary high, but then we focus more on the ones we don't win.

It's about navigating a way that allows you to give your best and still feel like you.

Without pressure.

Being honest and addressing what you need.

Setting daily consistent habits, that allows you to just feel like you again.

There's always a way through 🩵

It's brave of you to want to feel more like you again 🩷
