Kinda new here, I just want to try this app..
Today, I just woke up and didn't have enough energy to leave my bed. An hour later I got out of my room to eat something but my mom already started yelling at me when she saw me getting out of my room. I can tell she is stressed but why does she always take it out on me? It took me an hour to finally get out of my room, my comfort zone. Only for me to just lock myself in my room snd rot in my bed as usual. I just wanna sleep all day, sleeping makes me feel safe. I just took some biscuits from the fridge before I went back to my room. I don't wanna eat whatever is in that table, it makes me nauseous I don't understand why. It's not that I hate the food, I just don't feel comfortable with it.
@communicativeMap7435 It seems that you are trapped in some mentally unhealthy circle. That your sadness triggers events that hurt you, then you are even more sad. Does it sound about right?
Could you really commit to one small healthy habit for like 3 months? Maybe going to a gym? Maybe running? Maybe walking? Maybe going somewhere pretty like a park? To get out of your room. To give your mind something new to experience. I have a feeling that it (your mind) could do a little better if you could feed it with something more then being yelled at and closed in your room. What do you think that your mind needs? What could be a small way to give it to it at least a little?
Well done posting here. When we’re depressed we have difficulty doing the simplest thing. Pat yourself on the back for reaching out. People say don’t be proud but if we take pride and feel good we do more of the thing. If you were doing something harmful being proud would be bad. But you have done something good.
You will not have the drive to do good things all the time. Just pat yourself on the back when you do and avoid beating yourself up when you don’t do well. Learning not to beat yourself up takes time don’t expect it to happen instantly.
When I was depressed I remembered times I was not and judged myself by my old standards. I found this habit hard to stop.
