Let's Check In On Those Around Us ✨💕

At times, it can be obvious when someone is struggling to cope. But sometimes the signs are harder to spot. Check in on those around you.

Sometimes, those around us are so used to covering up their depression and everything they are going through, it can be hard to spot just how bad they are really doing.

Some things that can trigger a decrease in one's mental health are:
1.) Major life changes
2.) Recent loss
3.) Major loss of loved one which happened a while ago
4.) Difficult job
5.) End of a relationship
6.) Becoming a full time caretaker
7.) And having a lot of responsibilities and obligations all at once

Some things to look out for that are changes in behavior are:
- going to work, school, or out with friends less, or starting to go out all the time, or self put-downs

- It may seem like someone is working really hard to look normal and happy, but they still have that glimpse of sadness

- Weight change, either gaining or losing it.

- Difficulty focusing, stress when making decisions, or avoiding making decisions

- Jokes about suicide, or statements of "I can't do this anymore, I just want to give up"

This is just a short list. But there are so many times where we think that others are doing okay because they always seem happy when we are around them, or we see their posts on social media. However, some people (like me) are REALLY good at pretending like they are okay to the outside world. But really, inside they are struggling so bad that they are wanting to give up.

My point of making this post, is to increase awareness of suicide and mental health. I want us to check in on those we love often and make sure they are doing okay. Spread love, be there for those around you. Life can be SO hard sometimes, and having someone to listen to us and to love on us can make the world of a difference. 💕 Sometimes, it can be super obvious that someone is struggling, and other times, it's almost invisible.

You are NOT alone! We are here for you here at 7Cups, we love you, and we want to be that listening ear that you need to vent to or just to talk to when you're feeling alone. 💕

@Snowy00

I love this post so much, thank you for reiterating on the importance of checking on your people, the happy ones too, specially the happy ones.💗

And because "Sometimes, it can be super obvious that someone is struggling, and other times, it's almost invisible." it is so so important to always be kind and gentle with everyone.💗

Much love to youu, sweet friend, you too are deserving of all the love and compassion in the world plus of people who can *see* through your smiles too.💗
