Loosing my abilities

I am no longer able to do my job. For the last several months my supervisor has complained that I am making to many mistakes. At one time I was considered the best at what I do. Now I struggle to do a passable job.

My identity as a valuable employee is over.

@WhySoSeriousFR

The only thing that has changed is me. I am not likely to get any better at my job since I already have 48,000 hours of experience.

You are very valuable. We all go through tough times. Besides, mental health can greatly affect your ability to work like you used to. I hope things will get better for you. Cheer up!

@Gettingbettertoday

i am really sorry to hear this.  I have gone through this also.  I have been on an unpaid medical leave for about a year now.  It’s really hard when we start to recognize that we are not able to do the things we used to do.  Are there things you are still able to do well?

@Kristynsmama

Yes there are. The question is for how long?
