New here and depressed
I’m depressed and overwhelmed that my future is exactly what my present is. I’m in a sexless mainly loveless marriage where my wife treats me like a child.
I can’t afford to leave as in California she will take everything, but I also know I’m a gem and I’d probably be happy if I left.
We had a rough talk and I’m going to try, but I feel really depressed and bummed out.
Any ideas?

i hope you find a new life you can appreciate because so many people just decide to stay miserable and don't take a risk to be happy and content. it can be challenging to finally decide you deserve more than a wasteful life of misery and discontent. These feelings of being bummed out are going to happen, it's natural because you miss that maybe there was some good days and the expectation that things could've been beautiful.
