Not motivated enough
I literally have my exams two days from now and I don't have the slightest enthusiasm and energy to study. I am forcing my self to study because this is my finals and I literally need good marks in this yet I can't bring myself to do so. Its is so frustrating and tiring. And in the midst of this I literally caught a cold as if it couldn't get any worser.
@Janance1914 I'm sorry you have a cold on top of what you're going through- that definitely doesn't make things any easier. Even though you have no enthusiasm, I'm still proud of you for forcing yourself to do what's good for you in the long term. I know it's painful and frustrating. Maybe you could try romanticizing the studying? Like listening to dark academia ambience, studying in a library or cafe, wearing clothes, that make you feel smart and put together? Those are just some suggestions, so if none of that is your vibe, you can think of other little things to romanticize the process. Another strategy on the opposite end that could help, is giving an 'I don't care' attitude to studying so the burden seems lighter. This could look like taking a nice shower and moisturizing nicely and then lounging on the side of your bed in a bathrobe or towel and just studying casually, like it doesn't really matter at all. Like focusing more on selfcare and then having studying be dotted throughout the selfcare, like it's not the main focus. This would probably prolong the studying, but it might lower stress. Do either the 'I don't care' method or romanticizing sound like things you would like? I know maybe you came here to just vent and maybe you weren't looking for advice, but as someone who has barely survived college and grad school, I do want to help you.
