Overwhelmed

Our family just moved across the country and all the combined stressors of that move are crushing me. My husband is working 12+ hour days and most Saturdays too. My kids are a constant source of overstimulation that I'm struggling to manage on my own. I was struggling with depression before this and now I feel so alone and so overwhelmed that I shut down most of the time. I yell at my kids, neglect household chores, and can't find anything to look forward to. I don't know what I'm looking for... My husband went to bed because he's exhausted from work and I'm just awake thinking about this never ending struggle of life.

@Lumos11

I am sorry you are going through this a big move and all the stressors ........

it is hard to deal with that when spouse is working like that i too have had bad days or weeks and i want more support from spouse but it is a difficult time at his job and he has nothing to give at end of day when he comes home....

i know it sounds a bit odd but you are your own life preserver ......and if you can find a hobby / a small part of day for you time and really think about what is possible.... new place have explored your new city / done touristy type things........ this can be entertaining for kids and give you a day out.

Are you taking care of yourself? when life is overwhelming i have found a good vitamin regimen helps.

you are not alone many are in at least similar shoe and you can do this ..... moving is never fun and it takes time to settle in and feel less stressed.
