Postpartum depression
Hi, I'm Anna.
I have been living with depression and bipolar for many years.
After giving birth, I fell into deep postpartum depression. During that dark time, I lost custody of my two children. This has been the most painful experience of my life, and I'm still healing.
Right now, I'm in recovery. I seeing a psychologist and psychiatrist regularly and taking my medication. I'm doing the work, step by step to my recovery.
I have also survived domestic abuse in the past. Now, I'm in relationship with a kind man, and I'm trying to build a safer and healthier future.
But the truth is .....it's really hard.
Some days the pain of not being with my children is so deep I can barely breathe.
I miss them every single day.
And sometimes, I just need someone to talk to- someone who will listen with compassion and without judgment.
If you're reading this, thank you!
And if you're going through something too...please know you're not alone.
Maybe we can hold space for each other.
With love,
Anna

Thank you for your honesty and sharing your vulnerability 💕 I'm sorry that you've been through so much and it's clear you love your kids so much. Youve shown great strength putting in all the work that you have to get better and to show it's possible. More women need to talk about postpartum depression to get the support they need. I'm glad you have a loving man, you deserve to be happy and to heal, wishing you the best as you move forward 💜💕
