Productivity
I realize now just how linked my self esteem is to my productivity. I had to take a break this week because my body was just like "lol no" and I basically crashed. I just have no motivation right now to work on anything and now I just feel.. idk apathetic? Like "nothing to do", "nothing to strive for" kind of deal. I've been thinking lately I've had to give up my old dreams and now I just feel numb. Like, not bad or disappointed? Just sort of "eh".
Remind yourself that the only way that you can be productive is with breaks. If you are having trouble getting motivated for a few days, it usually means that your brain was near a breaking point. Don't feel guilty for resting. @HidaYasu
Actually just want to expand on my first post... it might be more serious than I realized. I don't want to do anything, or try anything. I basically just want to lie in bed all day. Is this a depression thing??? It's like once I gave myself a break my body just went the whole mile and decided to give up on everything.
I shouldn't be worried about breaks, but I have this fear of being complacent and now I'm afraid I'll never fulfill my dreams. I think it's my fear of "time" issue. Like "oh now that I've reached this feeling/stage I'm never gonna recover and I'll never reach my goals" kind of thing.
.... come to think of it I have kind of had an extreme "black and white" mindset the past few years...
I don't think it is a "never going to get back on my feet" moment. But if you feel like this for a couple of weeks, check with a doctor on the depression front. But giving yourself a longer break is also okay.
Remind yourself that small things like showering and eating are actually doing something. They are valuable and will help you slowly get back to doing more. @HidaYasu

I did manage to eat and shower. It made me feel a little better.
Exactly. Now tomorrow work yourself up to eating, showering, and getting outside for just a bit. Each day just one more small step forward. Praise yourself for every step, even the occasional backwards one. @HidaYasu
How have things been going? @HidaYasu
@bestVase7265 Oh hello again. Thank you for checking in on me, that's nice of you. 😊
Things have been doing much better! Life gave me a little kick in the pants which ticked me off for a while, lol, but I've been talking with my friends and other people. I started getting motivation to work on a creative project I've had on the backburner, and even managed a couple of chores without feeling really tired and drained. So all in all, pretty good.
That is great. Those kicks in the pants from life are never comfortable though. Glad that you have been able to find your way back to your feet. That is always a nice victory. @HidaYasu
