Reflection on 2022
As 2022 begins coming to an end, it's an important time to reflect on our past year to really think about our feelings and experiences.
Below, feel free to reflect on your year:
What was good? What are you grateful for? What do you wish may have been a bit better? Do you have any regrets? Things you want to do better next year?
@EmmaE
This will always be the year I lost my son.
It's been a hard struggle all year... sort of flew by in pain... BUT I'm working toward letting more sunshine into my life next year... both physically and mentally. I spend too much time inside my crowded little room. This summer I'm going to get out and walk more. I didn't do any walking much at all this year. I've been in a very dark place. I found 7Cups just 2 days after my son died. So glad that I did. I've met a lot of great people on this website who are very supportive and loving toward me....you know who you are. Deep, heart felt thanks to you all. ❤️
@EmbStitcher33 Moses on a pogo stick, I had no idea...
Up to this point, all I knew about you was your photographic & stitching talents. Am so sorry you lost your son, Emb... I won't pretend to know what that's like, as I've never been a parent. But there is something...backwards about it, like nature itself being turned completely on its axis.
In the cycle of life, sons & daughters eventually bury their parents. It is not supposed to be the other way around.
If I had listener privileges, I would tell you to send me a note so we could talk about it. Am thinking of you in any case.
@EmmaE
if i were to right now reflect on the year 2022, i would first say that i am grateful for the gift of life and grateful for everyone in my life that i love and care for! the year 2022 was an auspicious one for many reasons, and i am also grateful to the 7 Cups community for always being there for me!
@EmmaE
this year started off not well but within the summer months i found my girlfriend and i am in my first serious, healthy and happy relationship :)
@EmmaE Thank you again for this wonderful post Emma!!
What was good? What are you grateful for? What do you wish may have been a bit better? Do you have any regrets? Things you want to do better next year?
I had a pretty good year spending time with loved ones and going to lots of concerts! I am grateful for my health and the ability to travel and do the things I enjoy! I wish that my confidence was a bit better in my overall life. No, I try not to have any regrets because everything happens for a reason! I hope to continue to work on my happiness and confidence for next year!
@EmmaE
What was good?: I made some great memories. I did a lot of things I enjoy. I did some traveling, which I had done much of in recent years.
What are you grateful for?: My health, especially for improving my mental health with DBT. My family and friends and loved ones. My support system. I'm grateful for the 7 Cups community. I'm grateful for my job. My home.
What do you wish may have been a bit better?: I wish I was more present at certain times so I could enjoy them more.
Do you have any regrets?: I regret letting shame or doubt hold me back.
Things you want to do better next year?: I want to be more present and mindful and enjoy life to the fullest with holding myself back.
The year was sometimes nice. But with your team made me fill welcome and nice. I would recommend your site to anyone who needs a chat or just help and listen too.Xx

Normally I'm not in the habit of "reflecting on" past times but why not...
Good things about this year: discovering 7Cups... I also got a chance to sketch-paint from life, maybe three times. That's more opportunity than I usually find. That's about it.
What could be better: A lot of things. Don't get me started.
Things to be grateful for: Well not my health, since it's basically shot... Slightly increased my exposure to other things this year, investment-wise. I'm glad I can do that, & am also grateful for past opportunities to learn about it & why it's important. (Financial literacy is one thing that nowhere near enough people possess.) Having checked in on news in my hometown every so often, I can also say I am very glad to not be 1] homeless, 2] strung out on m*th, fentan*l & whatever else so many of them are on, & 3] with no options other than the foregoing.
@EmmaE
This year was CHAOTIC but I will focus on the things I am grateful for.
I am grateful for my 2 pups that I adopted from the shelter in February.
I'm grateful for my apartment that I moved to in March.
I'm grateful for the support people I have in my life.
I'm grateful for my cousin who moved states to live with me and that we are getting to see her daughter for Christmas.
I am grateful for the growth I have experienced this year even if it was painful.
It was good finding this app online it's been of great help. I feel grateful for so many things because I have sense of accomplishment. I could dress nicer but that's just me. Next year I will find better clothes happy holidays.
