So behind, and so alone.
I'm having a really hard time lately. I been very depressed because of my circumstances.
I am in my late 20s and in the process of transferring universities (I am finally getting my degree). I lived about two hours away in another town and went to school there, but I got injured playing sports and had to move back with family. It is better financially too.
Right now, I'm not doing much. I don't have a job right now (there are reasons why, personal) and I am waiting until August 2026 for classes.
I want friends, but fear that I will be looked down on due to my situation.
There is also another issue bothering me too.
About a year ago, I broke up with the woman I was dating in the town in which I was living for school. She was amazing and so kind. I had never really been in a relationship like that before. It was my fault it went sideways and I feel terrible that it happened. I am really set behind due to Autism stuff and never put myself out there. I miss her greatly.
Dating her, even for a short time, and living on my own for once made me realize how good life can be. I feel now that I'm missing out.
It seems like the blinders are off and I can't go back to being okay with who I am again. I feel held back by my circumstances and want to be okay with things, I just don't know how.
I want to stop feeling so sad.
(Kind of a rant, but felt good to write this)

I appreciate you sharing and your honesty.
It's not always easy to open up.
I'm sorry you stopped dating.
But concentrate on you for now and no one will look down on you, for your circumstances, you've been through alot.
Be gentle with yourself.
And I wish you all the best with everything going forward 💜💕

Thank you, it makes me feel a lot better knowing that you took time and responded. Your words mean more than you know.
You made my day!

The pleasure is mine 💜
@Rdv1233It sounds like you have been through a lot and are feeling weighed down by your circumstances. Moving back with family, waiting for school, and missing out on experiences you enjoyed must feel really frustrating and lonely.
It makes sense that you miss your past relationship and the independence you had. Feeling like you are held back by your situation is understandable. You are being honest with yourself and that shows strength. Writing this out was a good step in expressing how you feel.

I’m sorry to hear you’ve been having a tough time. I went through something similar, where I felt like I was making no progress in life. Be patient with yourself. Be kind to yourself. Most importantly, keep ranting and letting your thoughts out! I’m glad to hear that it felt good to write about how you’ve been feeling. 🫶
Thank you. It's nice to know someone has had a similar situation. Makes me feel not so unusual.
I'm trying to find some way to make the best of my circumstances.
I know things will work out, it's just hard right now. Although I'm really working on staying positive.

I get it, it can be frustrating and thats completely valid of you to feel. Good things take timeÂ

Hello, it is nice to meet you. My name is Annie. I am so sorry for all that you are struggling with. I have an adult son who has been diagnosed with autism. I appreciate you opening up and sharing which I understand can be very difficult for people who have autism. Believe in yourself and things will get better. I wish you the very best in all you do.
