Survival mode and Small wins

I've found that when I've been depressed I go into survival mode. Everything feels dark and sad.

Celebrating small wins might sound weird, and it's a great way to look after your mental health.

  • Made my bed today? Small win.
  • Ate a healthy meal? Small win
  • Went to bed on time? Another small win

Start out small and work your way higher, let me know if you tried this and how it went?

@CobaltCalm8 I love this post. Celebrating small wins doesn't seem weird at all. If you ask me, those examples you mentioned aren't small. Some days when I'm struggling bad, even getting up out of the bed seems like such a heavy task to do. So my feet hitting the floor is big to me. If I fix my bed, even better. If I eat, great. If I sleep more than 4 hours, amazing. 😉 But yayyy for celebrating all wins no matter big or small! 👏 👏 👏

@YourCaringConfidant I'm so glad you resonate with this. Starting with huge goals is really difficult and the important thing is to build momentum so we keep moving, even if we move slowly :)
