Trigger Warning and Also Don't Understand My Brain

Hello everyone. I don't know if this post belongs in Anxiety support or Self Harm recovery, but this is more about my brain than self harm, so I am here. First of all, I read a book with a trigger warning, thinking I would be fine. I was not. That book stirred up some thoughts I had been thinking about vaguely for a few years. After finishing the book I started to think deeper about them. I think my life is too good. I have a stable home and family, and I don't deserve it. It isn't fair to people with harder lives. I should struggle harder with my anxiety and depression. I am not entirely sure what I am thinking and feeling, it's all so muddled and tangled. Sorry if that didn't make any sense, but I was hoping someone could help me figure this out.  Thank you in advance.

@Chasingbluesky

You shouldn't struggle harder with depression or anxiety.

Even when we have a good life, this things can just be hard to comprehend but we feel what we feel.

And it's about honesty.

Processing it.

And not being too hard on ourselves 🩵

Amanda84 wrote it beautifully. Self-compassion is important. Can you see a little kid in yourself? A kid that needs some help? Do you want to share a little about this hurting part of you?

Self-blame only adds weight to what you already carry.
