What am I?

Am I a human? What is a human? Like is there something universal to say what is human and what's not? The dog protecting its owner's children is human, or at least has a degree of good behavior that most humans have not. So why? Why am I human? When a dog is more loyal than me, an elephant is more connected with its family than me, when an old turtle has seen more of the world than I would ever dream.

Is it the choice? But most creatures have a choice, it's not just the animal in there, they have souls, I have one too, mine is much darker than theirs, so why? They don't get these crazy thoughts, they are much purer than me, so why the *** am I human? Is it because I said so? What even makes you human? Being happy? So most homosapiens are not humans after all, WHAT THE *** IS WRONG WITH ME?

This is a profound philosophical question… but yes, you are human. The very fact that you ask these questions suggests that you are. Some philosophers argue that what distinguishes human beings from other creatures is our capacity for thought: as long as a person thinks, they exist. Others emphasize consciousness, claiming that most living beings lack self-awareness—or that, even if some possess it, it is not as deep or developed as human consciousness.Your awareness of your own existence, as well as of the existence of the other beings you mentioned, may be evidence that you are human. Consciousness, which is often considered a burden or even a curse by many people, can give rise to complex emotions and sometimes lead to an existential crisis. Yet it is also the very thing that makes us human.

I don't think that "I", like the me I am supposed to know is here, I have been thinking about the "cogito ergo sum" bits of the problem and I don't think it's valid anymore, because my argument is, I know that I exist, that something exists, something able to have these thoughts, but is that thing really me? Like, "I'm thinking therefore I am?" Now it's more like "something is thinking so something does exist" but is that thing me? Is that thing even human? Let's say for the sake of the argument that it is, what makes me know that the thing thinking is the same thing I call me? I think I don't know this thing, it's talking but I don't approve, these thoughts even feel alien to me, then how is having then? Another thing inside the lumb of cells I call "my body" so if it is my body, why are they here? Why are they speaking?

@BlueSoul90 I'm completely clueless to be honest, but this is what I came to understand
