Who am I?

Hello. I am Janus or Pi. I was a very cheerful child and was optimistic with whatever I do. Since the day when I realized I was just being used by the people around me, I fell into depression. I tried getting help but everyone would continuously accused me of attention seeking. Even my own family laughed at me and told me the same thing. From then on, I swore to not say a word about it to anyone anymore. Till this day, I’ve never told anyone about me being deep in depression. Everyone knows me as the smart and serious kid now. I have so many identities I really don’t know who the real me is. Who am I? I really want to get therapy but I know that if anyone finds out, I won’t be able to live with the embarrassment. I suspect that I have many psychological problems including depression, anxiety, personality disorder and many more. What should I do to find myself again?

@JanusPi My heart goes out to you. You deserve support and attention, not just because of what you give, but for who you are. Support in your highs and in your lows.

I could talk a lot about finding who we are. This current life can easily pull so many of us away from our true potential as unique beings. Yet there is a way back to who you truly are.

This really speaks to me and I just want you to know that you’re not in alone in this fight for depression. Seeking out therapy and help is hard, but knowing you’re coming on here at all to talk about it make you strong. I believe in you!

I can imagine how scary it all feels right now.

But you do deserve to feel better and figure out a better path. Family and friends can be too close to see. Are there ways for you to get help without people knowing necessarily?

Sending peace. @JanusPi

It is their job to diagnose you and help you find treatment. You would go to the doctor if your arm hurt or if you were short of breath. This is the same thing. @JanusPi

@JanusPi gives you a giant tiny hug ❤❤squeezes you tightly. I'm sorry sweetie 😢 mental health is something a lot of people still don't believe or understand. But don't be embarrassed sweetie, you are you, and that's ok to be. Don't let anyone try and stop you from getting help. Gives you another hugg ❤❤ we understand you here

Depression is serious. You must love yourself and get help. You are worth it. If anyone finds out that doesn't matter all that matters is you getting well. If they judge you then they are not worth your time. They are small narrow minded people.

Be well
