feeling not so good
I woke up today with many negative thoughts on the mind, and with a lot of disappointment too. You ever plan out how a day will be and then you get up that day and feel as if you’ve already failed as soon as you get up because you woke up late (or very very late in my case)?
How/what should I do to not let this happen again, and how do I go about breaking the habit of beating myself up and feeling like a failure?
It gets very hard for me to the point that I imagine every day being like this and thinking that I’m just too much of a careless idiot to ever reach my goals and dreams, when I’m already so far away from them in the first place.
You're not an idiot. Some goals take a long time to achieve. Maybe try setting smaller, more attainable goals so you can feel accomplished. My daily goals today were get a quote to fix my car and get items at the grocery store. I have some more advanced goals that I'm working on too, but I don't quite see the light at the end of the tunnel yet. I know it's there though.
Yesterday I woke up late for getting my daughter to school. It is such a chore for me to get up early and do this. Luckily school was 2 hours late due to weather so we were on time. Even if we weren't...oh well. That's just the way I am. Not an early bird. I accept me and my flaws and I don't compare myself to other people. Besides, other people who may seem perfect have flaws too. To err is human, my friend. Realize this. You are amazing in your own way 🙂
I think the key is focusing on the talking to yourself part. Calling yourself a "careless idiot" isn't going to help. You are actually a beautiful person who just overslept and couldn't get to everything that you planned. I bet that you still got some good things done. Focus on those.
What did you do that was good today? Your depressed mind wants you to say nothing. It is lying to you. @peaceandblessings
