i just need advice or for someone to reassure me that i’ll be okay
ive been depressed for over a year now, and i’ve had anxiety forever. i’ve been diagnosed with GAD and depression. i tried zoloft and once i got to a high enough dose, it worked for like 3 weeks and then stopped. every time i bumped the dose up, it brought up thoughts of sh and suicidal ideation, but i was able to handle it. i relapsed into sh, but it wasn’t bad. they switched me to prozac and ive had the same effects of relapsing and suicidal ideation. i’ve only been on it for a week, but they just told me to stop and meet with a psychiatrist later this week. i feel like i want to keep taking the prozac to see if it works but i don’t know. i feel so hopeless and lost right now, and i just need someone to tell me what to do. i’m scared
You're doing the right thing by meeting with a psychiatrist this week. I know waiting is hard, but they’ll be able to help find something that works for you. Different medications affect people in different ways, and sometimes it takes time to find the right fit. The fact that you're working through this means you are fighting for yourself, and that’s something to be proud of.
@goldenDrum6318 hey sweetie ❤ don't worry they'll find meds that will work for you, and the best person to do that is a psychiatrist ❤ gives you a giant tiny hug ❤ good luck in your psychiatrist appointment ❤
