i just want to be in bed all the time
i'm going through a huge life change. i'm a social worker and i just switched jobs from a job that i loved where people knew me and turned to me for advice to a job where i feel alone and sit in an office all day without a window.
when i am there it's like i black out. I walk out the door and can hardly remember what i've been doing all day. when i get off, i don't want to do anything but crawl in bed and watch tv in the dark. I've been very depressed in the past but I've been on medication for the last couple of years and it has helped alot. Even though i am not thinking about unaliving myself like i have in the past, i still feel more depressed than i have in a long time. how do i know if this is normal sadness because so much is changing or if this is the start of another dark period in my life?
when i'm around people i love i feel like everyone is looking at me. like they can all tell that im acting weird but i just can't explain how i feel so it makes me not want to be around anyone. also thanksgiving is next week and my wife and i are supposed to host our families, but thinking about dealing with all of the family dynamics makes me want to lay under the bed and pretend the world doesn't exist. i wish i could be invisible.
@patientLemon7482 sorry it's been challenging for you to cope with so much but also understandable as lots on your plate and I can relate to wanting to be invisible at times the urge to escape is so real , you're not alone <3
What helps you feel comforted, if anything??
I'm happy you talking about it in cups and you arr allowed to rest also 💕 take as much breaks needed
It sounds like your new job is really, really rough on your mental health. The holidays can also be really hard when you have all that depression on your back.
What kinds of things are you trying to do to schedule breaks for yourself?@patientLemon7482
