i can't get through these school days. i feel so drained, i show up everyday, i get A honor roll, im doing extracurriculars. all of it is so overwhelming. i dont know how to get through these days. i talk to my friends but recently ive gone quieter. i just want this year to end. the anticipation for summer break is getting to me, im losing my drive. theres so much to do i just wanna curl up and cry. i dont hate school, i just hate this cycle and the fact im here until 4:20. i dont get home until like 6-9pm most days i'm going insane. theres no one i can talk to at home. i have my friends but theyre going through their own *** i dont want to add on to their plate.

i'm just so tired. i want a break. weekends arent enough.

That sounds really exhausting… especially when you’re doing so much every single day and still feeling this drained.

It makes sense you’d start losing motivation when there’s barely any time to rest and everything just keeps piling up.

And the fact that you’re still showing up, keeping up your grades, and doing extracurriculars through all this says a lot about how hard you’re trying.

You don’t have to keep it all to yourself though. I’m really glad you shared this here.

@haretan

It seems really painful. And the fact it starts isolating you is worrying. At times like this being alone is not good. Thank you for finding strength to reach out here. Could you tell someone from your friends too? What if you started simple but very honestly like: “I have been so tired for the last few weeks, I feel like the load breaks me”. What is the chance it would bring relief to both of you? If they struggle too, then what the feeling of not being alone in it can give?

Is there any chance you could drop at least one extra class or so? In theory it’s just 2 more months (not sure about the exact number for you). Your state doesn’t sound like a bad day though.

I remembered one other thing: an advice I heard. That sometimes being tired is not as much about handling too much, but more about not having enough of what energizes us…

I am reading between the lines, the extra curricular are for applications. You’re competing against others.

My advice what matters in life is family if you can attract a reasonable partner it doesn’t matter if you win competitions.
