why do we feel so much or so little?
i wonder. all the time. what’s wrong with our emotions? how can they be so cruel? how can they change so much sometimes but so little other times? i never knew the answer. i get affected my people feelings so much. it’s like i feel what they feel. i feel all their pain. but sometimes i manage to feel nothing at all. like a cloud over me absorbing all my emotions. numb. empty. nothing can help. nothing does help. feeling too much is a curse. feeling nothing is also a curse. question is how do we manage to achieve a third option? is there even a third option? i’m interested to hear your stories. your feelings. how are you feeling today? too much or too little. or maybe you’ve achieved a third option.

I've learnt to have a steady balance between feeling too much and feeling nothing.
This is by staying grounded.
Not allowing my emotions to fester.
Processing immediately when I feel overwhelmed.
And learning how to regulate my emotions by finding healthy , physical outlets to release them effectively 😊💚
I have suffered from many traumas, anxiety and severe depression off and on. I have used unhealthy methods of trying to cope. I used to think that CBT was rubbish but have come to learn how important it is. It takes alot of work to not go to that dark place but I know if I don't want to go there, I have to make sure that I can identify what triggers me and start fighting the negative thoughts that produce the awful feelings that then snowball. I am not an expert, this is just my experience alone. It's a constant battle most days.
All you describing know is , i guess, a normal biological reaction . Normally you fell a lot of pain and intensity in your emotions ( cause you accumulated your pains with the time ) but because they are so intense , your brain try to numb them thats why sometimes you feel nothing . Is like a biological processus to reduce the intensity of pain .
I hope i helped you 💗
