I have been living with depression now for about 5 years. Have taken various types of anti depressants but nothing seems to work for long. I have ever changing moods and can't seem to get any control over how I feel.

Hey..

I'm 19 now, i haven't been on here in a long while

I first made this account i think when i was 15 or 16

I've been living with depression as far back as i can remember, anxiety too. My therapist diagnosed me with not only those but bipolar disorder II

I've been raped twice, once when i was 15 by a 17 year old boy i thought i was oh so in love with, and then again this last February by a police officer..

Im currently going through a real bad break up, its almost 2 am and im extremely, exceedingly depressed. I'm trying to stay positive, currently sitting with my cat Calcipher, he always lays next to me when i cry so it's nice to have him here.

It said to share my story so here i am, i have been sexually, mentally, physically, and emotionally abused almost all my life. I refuse to give up though, im so close to a little sanity.

Might go get McDonald's though to help cope for now

@llychee

I'm sorry you feel that way. may I ask if you are currently taking Antidepressants? I advise you seek professional help. I would say suicide is not the answer. Reach out to a trusted friend or family member. If you're not able to then please reach out to somebody on here. I'm also here too. Take it one day at a time.

@scarletCherry8573 yeah my family just yells about it and I dropped all my friends because I cant really leave my house and now theyve moved on so its just hopeless. I dont take anything. I went to the dr before and they gave me some but my parents threw them out because its poison and they didnt want my taking it.

@llychee That's not fair to you, and honestly bordering on abusive. It doesn't sound like your family's helping. Could you consider reaching out to someone you used to talk to? Even just on Facebook or by text? It sounds like you really need someone supportive.

Keep talking here too. We'll help as much as we can.

15 years now... I just turned 30 and I'm going through my third midlife crisis. I'm so tired.

I think since 2012 or something but I just recently realized that it probably is depression and not just a bad phase.

A little over a year, at least acording to doctors. Personally I think it has been going on longer. Most of it stems from my infertility journey.

2 years with antidepressants. I m worried my loved ones die, I can t accept the idea of death and I suffer for that. I also suffer when I think to the injustice and the pain in the world.
