I was 8 years old, put in AP classes, and suddenly I began vomiting before school and having crying spells, then it went from there.
I guess it started as a young child, I just didn't really bring it up. My brothers were pretty nasty to me and my parents fought a lot. For some reason I blamed myself, and to this day I can't explain that. It started getting worse after we moved across the country and I was shoved into a new environment. Got much worse as my teenage years progressed until I finally worked hard on it and got a bit better. who knows what's next.
@TheseBrokenWings
My parents did the same thing. I would lay in bed at night and pray for them to get a divorce! My daddy has worked extremely hard for us thru the years. But he has mental illness and is a very verbally abusive man. They are still together to this day. Been a rough road. My brother was mean as hell to me. I'm the oldest but also the black sheep of the family.
@GarbagePusherD6T The fighting sort of resolved a bit after they went to therapy, but a year ago my mother moved out of the house. Now they're in the process of finalizing a divorce. My 2 siblings and I are just now figuring out how to get along which I guess is pretty good. Idk it's been kinda all over the place in terms of family life. Rarely terrible but never great either. I'm the oldest and kinda messed things up when I got really bad and am still trying to bounce back from that so who knows.
I am sorry that you feel this way.
When I was bullied in middle school,but it got very bad when I ended a bad relationship and a friend abandoned me
it all started when my mom started cheating on my dad with his friend. i found out about that before anyone did (my dad, grandma, etc) and it ruined me. i love my parents and them getting divorced is really awful for me. i never had friends at school, and the guy my mom cheated on with acted like a douchebag when we were in public. grabbing my ass, calling me kitty and saying embarrassing things about me while kids from my school were watching, which caused leading for the kids to make fun of me in school even more than they did back then. my parents hung out with him more than me at one point. they acted like i wasnt there. the "friend" was much more important than i was. they started fighting really hard and i was in so much pain, both of them screamed at me and called me names because of how mad they were at eachother and i thought it was all my fault. the bullying was too much for me, so i moved schools. my mom and dad got "back together" and i thought everything was cool for a moment. but the school that i moved in is even worse and it seems like the pain wont ever stop.
My depression struggle started 13 years ago when I was 6 years old. So much happened until now, but i won't give up!
@ChibiNekoYumi19
What happened? We all have stories.
@GarbagePusherD6T i'm so sorry i wasn't online so long. Theresa happened so many things Like being bullied and raped by 3 boys, it hurt so much.
@ChibiNekoYumi19 * there
My struggle started when i was pretty young around 6. I was excluded and unable to express myself to people or understand how to interact with them due to my autism. i was isolated and excluded, even at home with having a large family (5 sibling). That was the start i think or at least when i feel it started but it could have been earlier or later. It's hard to tell when you have struggled so long.
When I felt completely without support when I started high school. I really struggled to make friends and ended up just settling with the nerdy group because we were all the losers of the school. I ended up getting depressed because I felt like I was being portrayed as something I'm not by appearing to be friends with these people. I felt like I was living a lie and it wore me down.
I first had a major depressive episode when my mother died when I was in middle school. At the time it felt reallly sudden because I had no idea that she had a mental illness and everyone in my family told me the truth then. My school provided a support group for me and over time I gradually overcame my depressive episode (there were a ton of other factors too that I feel are too lengthy to include here).
I started experiencing another depressive episode as soon as I started college in August. Seriously. On the first day I just broke down and started crying. It still hasn't really "settled down" since. I'm trying to cope with it in comparsion to before. I'm not sure if it'll be just an episode like before or if it'll last for years or my entire life.
@uselesscookies
I broke down shortly after school started and began to have panic attacks again for the first time in a long time. Thankfully my schedule is a little different this semester and it's more relaxed, but I literally cried for three days straight and couldn't get anything done when my last History unit was due in February, so now I have an F in that class that I'm trying to bring up with this unit that's due tomorrow. I had 39 assignments due this weekend, and I have 20 left to do >.<
School can be extra stressful, and sometimes you just need some extra help to deal with it. Have you checked out if there's counseling available on campus? My therapist has been really helpful when it comes to school! Don't be afraid to ask for help :)
@BeeLeigh
I feel you! I had a major breakdown shortly after the semester started this year too, even though I have a lot more online classes in comparison to last semester.
I went to a therapist in the past at my school, but she wasn't really helpful imo. As of now, I just feel like the entire process is overwhelming, so I'm taking a break.
