Significant others
Im having a hard time reconciling my depression and my relationship. I know my girlfriend cares and wants the best but its taking its toll on her too. It makes me feel terrible and I dont know how to handle it. Any thoughts?
I was in a very bad online friendship with a person with NPD who refuses to admit to how he treated me. Ironically I ran into him on the internet on Easter Sunday and he's still accusing me. Interestingly, as he accuses me of his own sins, he'll reference things to try and impress me using words for "the accuser". I'm tired of running into someone I had genuine love for who treated me like s--- for his own sins. He makes zero sense, either to toy with me or b.c. as a narc they have no empathy for anyone's feelings (all while accusing you of the same). He'll say he was thinking of writing me but didn't (which he did on Easter). If I'm all the evil crap he says I am, why bother? He then proceeded to have a conversation with himself for two hours , which is what narcs do. I am $*$#*(#$*($#*($#*( tired of this person's ego, mind games, manipulations, lies, and bullpuckey . He is exactly what I think he is and I am tired of being a good person in a bad world that seems to get worse by the day. I hope karma finds him and from what he told me, it is. Someone in his life up and left him the way he did me. This world today is truly evil and I seem to meet more and more selfish ppl who only think life is about gratifying their needs thru other people. I want an end to caring for a person who will never care about me for real. And, most of the men I meet either want sex, to pump up their egos, or to harass me. I honestly am considering dating women. Men suck.
@silverlamp Sorry about your situation. That sucks. I hope you can get some space from him. Sounds like a very toxic relationship. Hope you can get out safely.
@Rachelmm0717 Thank you so much for caring. if I ever run into him, i'm disconnecting. it's not worth it. everyone these days seems to have an agenda. i appreciate your time in listening.
@silverlamp
Literally dealing with this as we speak. My a.o. of three years has literally spend practically the last 10 months cheating on me and rather than admitting it has made it out to seem as if I'm crazy. They've made it seem like in all the ways I've changed it's because I'm lost not because they've lied to me for such a long period of time. They still havent admitted it and literally keep telling me I'm the problem and I'm the one that needs to chang . I've thought of leaving but one I love her so fucking much (we've known each other since we were 12) and I've been in her 5 year old daughter's life since she was 2 so she's basically mine. If I leave I lose her and I don't know what's killin me more the thought of losing her or my fiancee cheating on me. I've gotten to the point where I told her I don't care about any of the other stuff but that I deserve to be happy too and I'm going to do what I need to do to make it happen.
@silverlamp Btw's she's a woman so I can attest that their no better than the men lol
I'm so lonely at this point I'd be happy even just to be in an abusive relationship.
@tluper6491 I had an abusive girlfriend for a few years. She ended up killing herself when I was asleep beside her. Some things aren
@Seanmar
I'm really sorry that happened and for my stupid comment. I'm an idiot.
I am having a hard time telling if my significant other is truly horrible toward me or if it is my insecurity and depression skewing everything he says. From my perspective it seems that he is constantly sarcastic, condescending and nasty but if I say something he denies it.
@Lilechotrust your gut that's called gaslighting, you can study about it
abusive ppl treat others this way, never their fault, always other ppl's fault
narcissistic ppl do this a lot, i know from experience
