Something you regret that you believed caused something good is…

Hey, one thing I regret was going on holiday despite that it almost caused a break up with my spouse. However, I met many good people and saw beautiful new places so even when I regret us arguing a lot about it I still do not regret the experience itself. I think that many bad things can actually lead to something good but it is difficult to see it at the beginning. For example, being fired from a job might give you information that you are not the right fit f and in the end, you might find a job that is much more fulfilling for you and that you are good at.

What about you? Do you have anything that you regret (or did regret) but believe it caused something good in your life?

Nothing in life happens by accident or without a reason. So if you understand this then you will never have any regrets, instead you will ask yourself what is the lesson to be learned or the reason why it happened.

Sometimes I regret not spending more time with my dad while he was still around. I always had to reach out to him, and I felt bad most of my life for not really wanting to most of the time.

...but... It was very clear that I was never the son he wanted. Any time we did anything, I was out with him somewhere, he was only ever home for sleep. I got to see glimpses into all the lives he lived... All the women that would come by that were "good friends" with him. I was too young to understand that he just didn't want a family... And when I didn't turn out to be much like him, he wasn't that interested.

Well, I'm glad I didn't waste my childhood trying to impress him. I have an independence and autonomy now that overarches anything. Even if someone is in a position of authority over me, I live and think things as if I'm in the captain seat. Not because I have to be in control, but because I won't be dependent on people in higher positions. I feel like I've lived a lot of lifetimes in my relatively few years of life, and maybe I too have a lot of lives that I'm living... But, regardless, my loved ones will always be central to me in them, I don't ever want them separate and neglected.

Hey,
I regret I didn't explained myself to my father. He cursed me to death because on something he believe, which is not true. I don't waste my time explaining my side to him because I know someday he will realized that he was wrong and I can prove to him that I can achieve mg dreams and goals in life without them.
