What is the weirdest food you’ve ever eaten?

Definitely, definitely, p’tchah - or, in more informative terms, jellied calf’s hoof.

I was at a host’s house for the Sabbath one night, and to put it simply, they’re…very traditional when it comes to Jewish food that nobody eats anymore because poverty is no longer as widespread. Well, they seemed to like it.

It looked a bit like flan, that cool Spanish dessert - I wondered how horrible it could really be.

I took my naïve fork and sliced off a piece, came right off like Jell-o, put it in my mouth, and to this day I apologize to them every time I’m with that family for my reaction - instant, unrestrained, volatile choking and other nonverbal expressions of disgust. It was easily the most disgusting, nauseating, and least appetizing thing I’ve ever put in my mouth - I’d rather have made a brisket marinated in strawberry flavored cough medicine since I know it would’ve tasted better.
