John Lennon's song Imagine.

It reminds me of when I was a little kid. I use to watch my dad sing his heart out to that album. This song, as well as John Lennon, shaped how I see the world today and I believe is the reason why I'm so passionate about music. I see John Lennon's death as another statement that he tried so hard to portray in this song. It's a shame that he was taken far to early and I still get pretty emotional when I think about this. Every time I sing this song I have to fight back tears because I think about all the hate that is going on in the world. I think to myself, imagine if we all could find peace and accept everyone for who they are. Imagine if we could all find love instead of anger. Imagine if we could all just get along. Wouldn't that be better than all the anger that we keep seeing? All the heartache and pain that's caused by war, school shootings, poverty, etc. Imagine If we could all just live 'as one'.

The reason why I say this song 'boosts my mood' is because it inspires me to 'be the change I want to see in the world'. - Mahatma Gandhi. It reminds me that I'm not the only one who thinks like this and gives me hope that someday we might be able to learn the lesson that humans have been needing to learn this entire time.
