Am New To 7
Asked for therapy a year ago and still nothing. Asked again in the summer and new a year ago I was getting depressed and extremely stressed. Was pushing myself to finish my bachelors deg. Did graduate and the last semester was tough. Knew I needed to vent and am fed up with this State I moved to. Do not get the support I need and it really frustrates me, truly want to move back home. Am to the point I am ready to call and tell them to forget the the therapist. Am working through things myself and using other areas of support.
Everyone I talk to professionally tells me something different and then told different. They wonder why I get impatient and frustrated with them. Do not know who to trust or believe here.
I can certainly see how this would make you stressed and not know who to trust. I'm sorry you are going through this and feeling this way. You are strong and you keep pushing! Thats really great! If you need to talk to someone I'm here and so are other listeners. Keep your head up, I know it's hard <3. @ShareBear737

I can't be sure to understand what you're writing, but I'll try to do my best to answer. It is really awful not to get therapy when you ask for it, frustrating at least. Have you gone in the public service or private one?
However, therapy is just only one of many options to take care of ourselves: maybe is a professional and almost always safe one, but surely not the only one. I say this not to undervalue therapy, which is a really important option we have, but only because I met some people with different needs and therapy can not meet everyone needs. More than this, not every therapist is a perfect match for everyone, and the relationship that begins between therapist and client is fundamental to the success of the therapy.
Anyway, I'm not surprised that everyone told you a different thing: therapists are humans like everybody else, so they're unique in their way of treating patients, in their personality and so on. I can't tell you where you'll find someone to trust, because it is such a personal and intimate thing to understand.. earning the trust of a person is not an easy thing to do, but I'm sure you'll be able to tell, if the need arises, if a therapist is at least trying to earn yours. Just try, if you want, to feel them as who they are, without prejudice or previous thoughts and experience. I know it is not easy at all, but you can try if you want.

I am so sorry that you are having so many difficulties finding help. I am glad that you have found us though. This site is so helpful...or it has been for me in so many ways. There is so much you can do here, from talking to listeners like me to learning guides. We even have a section where you may be able to find a therapist. I am here if you need me.
@ShareBear737 I'm sorry you're experiencing so many stressful things over this time. It sounds like you're feeling incredibly frustrated by the inconsistency and all the changes that have been happening. Don't give up on finding a therapist if you feel like it will help. But either way, I'm glad you've found other forms of support. You have our support too, so don't give up :). Take care.
