AntiDepressants
What are everyones thoughts?
I have been on them for 6 months now. They make me tired but also make it so I cant sleep. Restroom issues are unfortunately a thing. I missed a pill yesterday due to the pharmacy being closed and until I got my prescription refilled I was shaky, nauseous, and just felt terrible. It scares me that I rely on them now.... they have made it so my emotions dont well up instantly and Im not crying near as much which is a benefit. My panic attacks have definitely decreased but night terrors are still a huge issue. I just wanted to know everyone elses thoughts.
@MoorGard7 I agree with @Skylar1212 that a change of meds might be the answer. Some people have to try several different meds in order to find one that works well without bad side effects.
I also agree with you that relying on meds is scary. Some experts believe that these meds should not be used long term, and that therapy is a better treatment for many people.

Well, I try avoiding taking antidepressants as they are pretty addictive and I know several people who found it to be difficult to get off such pills. But if you feel that nothing else works for you and you don't feel relief, maybe you really need to take such a medication, but I think, it is better to consult a doctor first. Also I would check the information about the pills you are going to take (I use Canadian Pharmacy website to read the description of the meds). And I should say, cbd products can be a good alternative. Anyway, I wish you good luck!
@MoorGard7 Antidepressants don't work if you don't have depression. But if you do, they're more likely to work the more depressed you are in comparison to supportive care alone. ... For patients with severe depression, antidepressants are often underprescribed.
