Arrogant and Prideful
I don't know, I don't know what to say anymore or do .I'm struggling to cope, I'm barely able to deal with anything. I'm always on the verge of breaking down everyday at work but I don't because I'm a man. I always have to take situation like a man but I see how bad it's getting at work , the expectations are becoming ridicules. It's been two months working there, the people teaching me the job regularly undermine my intelligence, give me alot of self doubts but and I'm also not a person who can handle pressure but next onwards I will be expected to handle clients which are paying millions to the company by my self. I tried to speak out about this but apparently I sounded Arrogant and Prideful. I don't know, this weekend I've been just going to sleep early so I can cry in my bed. Don't know what else to do
I can't quite. I'm 25 and this is really my first real job. I've been unemployed for for years and that was not a good place to be. My younger brother I to speak for me in order for me to get this job, he gave them his word that I would be useful, I can't make him a liar. My mum was so happy knowing I can provide for myself, I can't disappoint her. These are the two people I can most about in this world. I can't disappoint them.
@HiMisterKyle its ok. Initial period is really hard. No one is going to be nice. But i think, it will b ok aftr sometimes. But if it doesnt, then leave the job. And also, wen u have a job, its somewhat easy to get anothrr one compared to wen u r unemployed
@HiMisterKyle
Its okay to show emotions regardless of gender. I have grown weary of a society that somehow think men are made of rocks. Being called arrogant for communicating your concerns is their issue, not yours. I applaud you for expressing your concern. And if they undermine your intelligence, that is their loss, not yours! You got this!!
@HiMisterKyle Hello! Firstly, I'm so sorry that you have to feel this way, it's a very tough situation to be in. I'd like to remind you that at the end of the day, everyone handles things differently, and you're HUMAN. Just because you're a man does NOT mean that you have to endure this just because society and surroundings say so. You deal with your feelings the way that's best for YOU. Because that's important, for you to take care of yourself.
As for your co-workers, you can prove them wrong. Don't let their words and actions affect you, because you're the one who knows yourself best. You know your own intelligence and abilities. They do not.
I hope you have a wonderful day and that this whole thing works out.
@HiMisterKyle It can be hard to leave a job when you require financial stability. You can always look for a more suitable role or talk to the relevant people. Just because you are a man does not mean you cannot express your emotions!
@HiMisterKyle Hey man, that sucks that your work situation is so crappy right now. :( I'm not sure if couselling is an option for you (since the cost, etc, can vary)... but it might really help out if you are able to seek counselling specifically to help you to gain the tools you need to cope with all the things at work that are pushing you to the breaking point (since walking away sounds like it isn't an option).
Whatever happens, don't give up. There is always a way to get past a huge road block, it's sometimes just hard to see how to get around it. Good luck.
