How do you deal with brain fog? Im having trouble understanding what people say when they talk to me. I also have trouble communicating my thoughts correctly. This makes people think Im being rude. Im sure its a side effect of antidepressants, but I dont like to tell people Im on them because of the stigma. I especially hate to say because I live in a fairly religious area where many people dont believe mental health issues are real. How can I get through the fog to communicate more effectively? Or how can I let people know Im trying without explaining my issues?

I suggest you have a list of questions you can ask them, and a generic state of the union statement for when they speak to you. Something like 'hello, your jacket looks very nice. Isn't it a lovely day. I'm off to the shops now to get some stuff'

Most people aren't paying too much attention to casual conversation so it will likely work well.
