Can't focus on study

I have a huge chemistry exam coming up, but I'm feeling especially depressed today and it's making it hard to focus. I know if I study I'll be able to pass, but it's hard to concentrate on anything except how terrible I feel right now.

Please help.

Aww. Please do tell what's bothering my precious friend I have yet to meet.

I?m sorry to hear that @Jordan112. It?s really difficult to study when you are severely depressed. Low concentration is one of the reasons which contribute to this. One way to do this is to force yourself (Positively).

1) Make a study plan and stick to it. You?ll have to keep in mind that your brain will try to make you convince not to study. Just snap out of it and force yourself to your study table. Don?t make plans which you will not be able to follow.

2) Keep record of the time you study. This makes you feel positive at the end.

3) Try everything that you can do to keep your mind cool. Don?t get tensed about the exam and never give up your studies. Keep moving forward even if it?s in small steps.

4) Listen to some music which makes you feel better (Avoid Metal as it causes depression for some people). Get some time to go outside and spend some time with your friends and nature.

Well, you may not be able to do all these. As per your situation, choose the best what you can do. Hope you?ll do well in your exams. All the best. Keep positive. smiley

I know exactly how you feel. Before I was dealing with depression, I was a great student. Ever since I've been dealing with it though, one of the worst parts I personally experience is lack of motivation and focus with school. I want to do well, and logically I know the way to do well is to just study. It's not so easy as that though, and I'm also struggling with figuring it out. Guess I just wanted to let you kniw you're not alone & 100% relate
