It has been 3 months since i lost my father

Everything feels hard since then

Sometimes I'm ok

Sometimes I'm not

In a sudden i can cry while having fun

I don't know if it's depression, but seems not

@worryBear

grief is different for everyone and some confuse it for depression as well...... i wish you the best as it can come and go and the smallest items can trigger the feelings.

when a close person passed i learned from a friend the person had a favorite candy i can not even look at those without having sad feelings anymore as silly as that sounds...

Oftentimes grief sends us through a catapult of feelings, whether you feel happy some day or very sad another. It's normal to go through sadness and I'm hoping all becomes more well and consistent for you soon.

Grief and depression can be intertwined. I am so sorry that you have been struggling. Everyone's path through grief is different. Do you have people that you can talk to?@worryBear

It can be tough when you don't have people outside of those who are grieving on their own. But you aren't bothering or upsetting people when you admit you are sad. They are sad too and probably like to occasionally share that with other people.

But we are also a great dumping ground right here. Feel free to post any time in the weeks and months to come.

How were things today?@worryBear

@worryBear

You can try to distract yourself and forget about it for a while. Time washes everything away.

But whenever I'm alone i tend to weep and recall those last moments. Since i live far from family, those frequently happened

I can relate to how you are feeling. I lost my mom ins 2018 and my uncle in 2020. I'm still not over it. I haven't had that big cry when you lose someone. I'm scared myself it will come at a random time. I don't want to let go either because my mom was my only parent and my uncle was like my dad. I can't say things will get easier, but I can say just breathe and go slow, and take it day by day.
