Depression & Compliments
I'm sure many of you can relate to what I'm about to say, both members and listeners.
Living a childhood of abuse of every nature, and being rejected, neglected, bullied, spoke down to, being told i'll never achieve nothing and will never be successful.
As I'm sure many of you will know, my account is quite new, but I have ultimately been with 7 cups for years but due to needing urgent mental health care, I thought at the time it would be good to delete my account.
As a result of the above any many other issues that followed such as toxic relationships, being raped, my first child passing away, if anyone compliments me, I find it very hard to deal with in terms that I haven't had to deal with it before.
I get so many feelings, which range from being sad because I'm happy, crying because I'm happy but thinking mentally it's because I'm sad and these emotions are very confusing.
Since returning to 7 cups, this community has grown in huge amounts, and I re-joined as a listener, and it is the best decision I have ever made.
I would like to give credits to @SirenOfSerentity, @ASilentObserver, @WonderfulRainbow817 and anyone else who has supported me.
Today I was verified as a listener, yesterday I was approved as a Room Supporter (although awaiting a decision following a test) but this has absolutely made me an emotional wreck, in a good way! I am so happy, not only have I realised I can literally talk about anything here but I can help other people who are facing issues and use my experience to support them and this absolutely overjoys me.
So huge thank you's to the above people, especially @SirenOfSerenity for being such a great mentor but also just being there in general, offering love, support and kindness and sticking by my side.
To the "bullies" as I call them - I am making something of myself - I will continue to work hard to better myself so that I can become a moderator and use @SirenOfSerentity as my inspiration for being a quality mentor in the future.
You guys are all incredible, not just listeners, but members also.
It's not all been a nice steady road, it's been tough, and more challenges will come but my confidence levels have absolutely increased, and I can't thank you all enough.
