In order to manage my time effectively between my personal life, roles on 7 Cups and supporting Members and Listeners, from the time of this update (Last Updated located at the top of my profile) everyone will require an appointment if:

1) You are a long-term member.
2) I have taken you to a 1-2-1 chat from chat rooms or the forums and want a follow up chat.
3) You are a Listener and are requesting me as your Mentor.
4) You wish to become a Verified Listener.
Messages I receive not under this criteria will be deleted without reply unless I have given you permission to do so, or I will risk losing track of booked appointments and important messages.

My calender does not have a booking facility, please view it and send me a message on Cups to book in a suitable date/time and I will book the appointment for you.

  • I am male (although non-binary) - If you prefer to speak to a female, please let me know and I will try to arrange to transfer you to a female listener.
  • All chats will remain confidential.
  • Please ensure your chat category (i.e., Parenting, LGBTQ+, Anxiety) is correct, so that I only accept chats I am open to helping, this is to avoid me having to ask you to find another listener.

These posts will help us to take a look at different ways to notice that something doesn't look right. Knowing how to RRR as I like to abbreviate it - Recognise, Reflect, Respond is crucial to remaining safe if you are put into a difficult position whether on Cups, or online. Different countries follow different policies and rules so in this case, we will be looking at how to RRR in terms of 7 Cups and what you can do to keep yourself safe online. This is inclusive of many situations you could find yourself in whether it is a chat that just makes you feel uncomfortable, maybe the chat isn't helping you and you feel you need more support than a Listener can offer to you, or you are facing issues in the chat rooms or forums. ...See more About Off-site Contact Off-site contact relates to anyone on 7 Cups providing usernames, links, and account details that will lead to connecting with someone off the 7 Cups website. Why is this unsafe? 7 Cups provides safety tips, guidelines and protective measures to ensure everyone in the community is safe, attempting to chat away from the site will ultimately mean that people are no longer protected by these measures, 7 Cups also applies filters to all chats that is recognized to be attempting to share this information as protection. What if I know someone personally outside of 7 Cups? In this situation, it is still against guidelines to ask for or share this information, and you must use another method, away from 7 Cups to share such information. Example (1): Hello, what's your username on (app_name)? (2): (Username) (1): Thank you, I'll chat to you on there, I'll add you now (2): Okay In this scenario, two people are agreeing to chat away from 7 Cups, sharing this information is not allowed, and once you do move away from 7 Cups, you are no longer protected by 7 Cups Guidelines and protective measures. 7 Cups is also a confidential service, and this has the potential to undermine your confidentiality. If you need further information about this, please feel free to ask questions below.
