Hi Deonslove55!
Sorry for your low moment, hope you are having care for yourself and please feel free to show up to share what you feel to 💙
@depressedespresso
Hi there!
The fact it's getting worse isn't an easy thing to deal with. Sorry to hear 💙
Did you seek for professional help? It can help to prevent the worsening of symptoms.
Many factors could play a role in the duration of symptoms, there is a time of depression because someone experiences a negative situation, or due to past traumas, but there is also chronic depression.
Maybe right now you can focus in finding all the help you can, to stop its worsening.
Hope to hear from you soon!

I am unable to speak for you and your depression, but as a person who has suffered depression since Junior High and now I am an old guy, my depression has gotten better but only because now I see depression as just as fleeting and impermanent as everything else in my life. I see it approaching from behind me, it arrives and settles in, lingers, and then slips out without a goodbye or fare thee well...
Loads of things help, but I have never rid myself of depression. I hope you can and do.
It definitely gets better. But that doesn't always happen on a certain timeline. One of the keys is when you do feel it worsening to get more help. @depressedespresso
@depressedespresso I m sorry to hear that you are going through depression since some period of time, I understand it can be really tough, how does it makes you feel like and how do you usually try to cope up with it? And yes it may take time but it does get better with time!
@depressedespresso
Hi, I see that you feel like your depression is getting worse, it can be really draining and your reaction is comprehensible. You are the person that knows that you better than anyone, but talking about mt experience, I wanted to say that I also dealt with depression for a couple of years. At first I also thought that things were only getting worse, and I thought a lot if I was ever going to get better. Now, when I look back, I see that it got better, after fighting for years I can say it and I hope things get better for you too. You are strong and everyday you are fighting difficulties that can really hurt.
Take care.
@depressedespresso
in my experience, it does not get better, It gets easier to cope with, as you learn to live with it
@depressedespresso
Everyone's experience with depression is different. My experience has been that I've gotten much better at handling my depression, but it's still there. My depression began at puberty around 2001. I am high-functioning.
From therapy, I've learned to challenge negative thoughts instead of taking them for granted. I've learned social skills that enabled me to make three good friends and connect with strangers. I've developed the belief that my life has a purpose, so my life doesn't feel entirely meaningless. I enjoy helping others.
I used to have really bad anhedonia, and I think it's because I felt guilty for experiencing pleasure. I felt like I didn't deserve it. I am able to enjoy things now. I just feel sad most of the time.
I really understand your efforts all this while. Is gonna be fine. Don't beat yourself up, take one day at time. The universe will soon bring you goodies and you will forget that you have felt the way before. I'm a witness
@depressedespresso
I understand. It can often feel overwhelming. It is different for everyone, but I can tell you this:
I was first diagnosed with depression 30 years ago. For me (not everyone) it still comes and goes. It can be very hard. I've learned coping strategies (these will be different for everyone, but our 7Cups guides will have lots of suggestions).
In recent years I have realised something though: those of us who have gone through this are so strong for having done so. Some of the strongest people I know either went through it or they still are.
I hope yours passes and it does for many people, but for what it's worth, you're here, and you're fighting it, and you can beat it.
