Depression that never ends.
Today I woke up late to go to work. I didn't shower or do my makeup. I went to work then got fast food on the way home. I work nights so I should have come home and slept but I ate way too much and unhealthy stuff and binge watched netflix. Because evertime I try to lay down to sleep I just start thinking about all the mistakes I have made. Today, this week, this month, this year, last year, back and back until I have to get up because I have to distract myself from it somehow. This is a repetitive cycle at this point. Over eating, being messy and lazy, not being motivated. I even called out of work a few days ago because I couldn't make myself get out of bed. Sometimes I get really keyed up and think I can tackle things and fix them but I end up giving up because nothing seems to help. I don't know what to do and it is starting to have a very real impact on my life. Please help, if you can.
@Beccs23- my first thought is "how long have you worked nightshift?" Being on an unhealthy schedule takes it toll on your body, emotions and mental health. I know- I did crazy things when I worked nights. No wonder you can't tackle daily living. Be easy on yourself and find just one simple thing to do each day- and pat yourself on the back. Hugs and take care.
