Depression with no end in sight

I have lived with depression for years, when my children were born i felt my life had meaning, now in 8-9 weeks i have a residency court hearing and am positive their mother will have residency, and my job prospects mean i would only be able to see my children once maybe twice every 5-8 weeks. Depression and anxiety, its really bad and struggling because as a single parent caring for my children since the day they were born, the thought of not seeing and caring for them is killing me.

That sounds absolutely devastating. Few things are set in stone. And it sounds like nothing concrete has yet been decided. I know it's hard, but try not to borrow trouble. I can only imagine that this upcoming struggle will be hard enough without the added anxiety. You sound like an incredibly devoted parent. Whatever the outcome, I can't imagine that you wouldn't do everything in your power to be as present and involved as possible. And in a shorter amount of time than seems possible, those kiddos will be remarkable adults-- capable of making their own minds up and capable of understanding what you went through out of love for them. I'm wishing you the very best. Hang in there.
