Does life need meaning?
I am a rather deep thinker, perhaps that contributes to my life long insomnia, but at any rate, I have often thought what the point of life is. You are born to parents you do not choose for yourself, you are a kid for a while, then a teen, then an adult, mid aged, start with illness, body starts breaking down, you lose your looks, people you love leave you, die or can't be bothered, then guess what ......you die.
I am very spiritually minded and the closest I can get to any sort of answer is that it is some sort of testing ground for the world to come ( if you believe there is life after life. I do, but not everyone does )

I rather turn this question around. I believe life comes with a purpose. We were born into this world with no control. But since we can't reverse or change our birth, we might as well make the most out of it. Here comes finding our purpose.
It's like a lion cub is born to hunt, not to copy an eagle, or an elephant. It is born to hunt. Hunting brings fulfillment and meaning. Meaning of feeding the family. Meaning of being a provider. Meaning of using its strength and so on.
In short, I believe purpose brings meaning. Different people find their purpose at different stage of life. But I would never give it up once I find it.
Personally I've though about this a lot. After dealing with depression and not thinking life had a meaning, I've accepted that you have to find your own meaning. You have to discover how you think you fit in the world, and the ways you can help others and be happy.
I think a good way to live is to worry less and just be happy because truthfully life may not have a meaning. So enjoying it and being happy the whole way makes it an adventure and makes life worth it regardless of meaning
I think the meaning is more about energy than anything else cause without enough energy I can't enjoy much and start to forget what the rest means to me. Loving as much as possible even if you don't know why. There doesn't have to be a reason to love.

People talk about a meaning of life for a reason to live. Sometimes we all feel terrible and then we remember the reason why we are living and breathing. This could be for your parents & the scarifies they are going through for you, or for religious reasons or to create your own explanation of why you was born. There must be a reason or else why are we strugging? Surely it cannot be just to struggle and die? There must be some other reason as to why we have been created.
