Feeling...S.A.D.?

We had our first snow last week, looking at the second any minute right now. There's something about winter. The short gloomy days and long dark, cold nights, and the knack for always getting some big news. Some huge change. In the last eight years, there has been one time where that was a change I was happy about. That was three years ago. While things have been rough, I've been trying to keep my head up, but winter always makes it tougher. There's just something about the entire atmosphere. I'd probably be happier somewhere it doesn't snow, but it would seem so unreal to me.

I know just how you feel, for some reason when winter begins something always knocks me down! I always find winter hard, the long cold nights, the weather, ugh. I always felt I'd give up Christmas to have summer all year round!

@zerstoerer, I have been reading a few books recently about depression and the problem may be because we arent outside as much in winter and have a shortage of vitamin d. There also is some kind of light you can get that simulates the daylight that you can use in the winter that may help. I cant remember off hand what its called though. I am not a doctor so I dont know for sure. Maybe you can investigate this and see if that helps you. I work inside, so I dont get much sunlight unless im doing yard work, playing with my dogs, or running. I hope tou find something that makes you feel better.
