Feel like the world is falling apart

For starters I guess I'm just venting. I don't have anyone I can talk to so just getting this off my chest and knowing at least someone sees it will make me feel better. If you think you can help than that's even better. So I've been struggling with depression for pretty much as long as I can remember but it's gotten worse since I graduated high school last year. I guess it's because of all the new adult stress I have to deal with along with all the family stress I've always been dealing with. It's gotten to the point where I find it hard just to get through each day, I just wish time would stop really so I could just take a second to breathe and just be left alone. The worse part is at this point I wish I could stop existing, it's not something I'll act on but it makes everything so much harder when all I can think is how much easier my life and everyone else's lives would be if I just wasn't there. I'm trying really hard to stay positives and think of a better future where I wont have these problems anymore but it just gets more difficult each day. I'm basically not allowed to talk about my feelings at home because my parents make me feel like their stupid and I could have it worse. Now lately my boyfriend is getting annoyed by my complaining and I don't know at this point I feel like I have no right to feel anything negative and it's just kind of reinforcing the fact that my existence is pointless. I don't know what to do anymore I guess. I just feel like everything I do is a burden and I'm just a waste of space.

No one an make you take medication if you reject that, and the only way to get hospitalized is to be either suicidal or homicidal (and even then it can be a challenge). If your therapist has been paying attention it's likely he or she already knows you're depressed. In any case never be afraid to bring up how you're feeling, especially to a professional. That's their job!

Everyone has bad days and the heart of that statement implies everyone has good days, too. And so will you. Keep taking care of yourself!

@KaleighSkys It's okay to feel depressed. As for the people around you, they may or may not understand what you are going through and may come off as cold. If you explore the variety of therapists I'm sure you will find one whom you will be most comfortable with :)

@KaleighSkys First of all, every human being has a right to be both happy and sad! It is normal for people to be depressed as it is to have a headache. Those are just common issues many people struggle with!

I know transitioning from your teenage years to adulthood is hard. I am a senior in college myself, and I am under a huge deal of stress so I can definitely relate to your story.

Remember that no matter how hopeless everything looks right now, it gets better! <3
