Hi
I hope everyone is doing ok. I’m not sure where to start. I’m 28 years old and I have suffered with depression on and off since my teenage years. Over the last few months I have been really struggling to gain motivation. I’m finding I’m weeping a lot and feel immensely sad.

I hope that you feel like you have come to the right place for encouragement and support. We are here for you!
What helps me is crocheting, watching hoarders because it makes me feel like cleaning which makes me ultimately feel better. Listening to music and singing, hiking pretty much anything you can keep busy with. If your busy you won’t have time to think about what’s upsetting you
Thank you for the suggestions. I was actually thinking about going for a walk today.
Take a bag with you with some lunch and something to drink. I like taking photos too of random things I see
Hi, we're so happy to have you join us here! You're definitely not alone in these feelings, I'm sure so many of us here can relate to the depression and lack of motivation you are dealing with.
Hi, thank you for sharing! I've also struggled with depression since my teen years . I had let it take control of my life. I spent so many years miserable and unmotivated. It really sucks. All I can say is, if it weren't for Jesus, I dont even know where or how I would've ended up right now. He gives me strength to get through each day. I hope the same for you. My therapist tells me, if you don't have a passion, create one. Find something you are passionate about. That really helps you have more motivation. Don't hesitate to chat with a listener or get professional advice from a therapist. You are not alone in this. Stay strong. I know it's hard. But we can get through it together.
I just joined today and have a very similar story. My crying is uncontrollable and I have lost motivation to do the things I used to. Some days are better than others. When I was younger, I used to tell myself life would be better when I’m older. That used to help me a lot and gave me something to look forward to. Now that I’m older, my depression is worse and I longer have hope things will be better. I know I shouldn’t think that way but it’s so hard not to.
