I don't know how to get better.

I'm at the lowest I've ever been. My partner left me because of it. I told him I would get better, but I don't know how.

@undefinedline getting better when you feel so low is very challenging. , Finding support like 7CUPS and professional help like therapy (talking things out) and psychiatrist (meds to make the brain function properly) are first responses for many people. If these are not possible, then active lifestyle may help. Exercise or yoga, improving diet with low carbs and high protein if your doctor has not put you on a special diet.

You may want to look at self help guides https://www.7cups.com/supportGuides/selfHelpGuides.php

@soulsings I started seeing a therapist a few weeks ago, and I was put on meds last week. I just feel so hopeless.

@undefinedline I am glad you are seeking treatment. many meds and therapy can take longer to help. One thing you can do is contact your prescriber of meds and ask them if you should be feeling better by now or need to wait longer or if the doc might want to revise meds.

@soulsings I'm not even on my full dosage yet. I have to wait a week and a half then I go up to 2 pills. I'm just trying to get a more positive outlook on life
