I don't know what to do.
Nothing makes me feel better about my depression. Everyone else seems to have a goal that keeps them going and feels better when someone tells them it'll be okay, but not me. No amount of teling me that it gets better or that people care about me helps me. It makes me mad if anything. I can't let myself cry normally with sounds and don't feel valid in my depression because I don't cut myself. I honestly don't know what to do about any of this.
@violetdragonuke
I am sorry you are feeling this way. Just know that we are here for you.
Hey, I don't like posting and I don't know almost anything about you but I'll at least say this:
The reason why everyone seems to be so positive and motivated that it makes me want to puke and feel like a total outsider is probably because people like me and you(?) don
Not cutting yourself doesn't mean you're not depressed. It just means you have different ways of dealing with your depression than some other people. And trust me, when I was depressed, I never had a goal. I only felt hopeless and sad and alone. But it did get better, slowly yet inevitably. And I know it will get better for you too. You just have to believe sometimes.
@violetdragonuke I'm so sorry you have trouble seeing your depression as valid. For what it's worth, many of us realize that as long as you feel the pain, that's what's important; what determines how you feel, is what you percieve yourself to feel. I'm not gonna tell you if it'll get better, like you said you've heard that a lot. I just want you to know that I acknowledge that you feel shitty, and hope you'll be able to feel that it's ok to feel that way even if you don't show it the way others do.
@violetdragonuke I'm so sorry that you're having such a difficult time.. We're all here for you :) PM me if you'd like to chat about it :)
